“As human beings we are hardwired for a need for storytelling. We yearn for epic journeys, tales of odds overcome and accounts of the triumphant human spirit. The Mars One initiative provides all of those and much more. From a commercial perspective it’s a compelling platform, but my desire to be associated with Mars One runs at a deeper, emotional level. It is not the success or failure, but the mere attempts at greatness such as this that propel humanity forwards.”
